Luxury agriturismo with pool overlooking Lake Como

I’ve long been searching for a nice agriturismo on lake Como, so it was a happy moment when I discovered this beautiful new property. It took some doing to contact the owners, but when I finally had an appointment, my patience was more than rewarded. What a view! The agriturismo is located in an elevated position between Menaggio and Gravedona,. The way up is a bit narrow and winding, but once you’re there you will be rewarded with wonderful views.

There’s a supermarket in the village below, which you can walk to in 20 minutes, and there’s a little pebble beach, where the owner of the agriturismo has a little food-stall where you can get excellent ice-cream. The agriturismo is still a working farm: they grow soft fruit – blackberries, bilberries and raspberries.

The rooms 

There are seven double rooms in total, including two rooms which can accommodate three people. The attractively furnished rooms are equipped with wifi, satellite TV and air conditioning. Some rooms have a private patio, others have a small terrace.

Pool, trattoria and homemade jams

There is a lovely heated pool and a  sun terrace with sunbeds. The proprietors make their own jams and grow their own vegetables, which are for sale, and of course the jam is served at breakfast. There is also a small trattoria at the property. Due to the limited number of tables advance booking is necessary.

In short

Luxury agriturismo where you can enjoy the pool, the beautiful view over the lake, the delicious breakfast on the terrace and a romantic dinner in the small trattoria. A winding and narrow road up, but you will be rewarded with magnificent views!
