Lovely agriturismo within walking distance of a village and near Lake Garda

Amidst an olive grove, about 10 kilometers from the shores of Lake Garda, is this family-friendly Agriturismo.The country house with the apartments is built in the typical style of the original farmhouses in this area. The friendly owner lives with her husband, two children and grandparents in another farmhouse on the same property. The owner speaks good English and her husband is happy to have you to taste their own olive oil and will provide you tips on the many wineries nearby that you can visit.

 When I visited the agriturismo it was high season and I noticed how quiet it is on the property. And yet you are only 15 minutes away from the bustling Lake Garda with its charming towns. Whether you are visiting Peschiera del Garda, Sirmione, Desenzano or Lazise, everywhere you can walk along the promenade and wander through the narrow streets with shops, restaurants and bars. Gardaland, Italy's biggest amusement park, is a 20-minute drive from the agriturismo.

Along the agriturismo, a river flows through the green hilly landscape with a bicycle path next to it. If you follow the bicycle path in south direction, you will come across authentic villages and after 35 kilometers in Mantova, which is certainly worth a visit. If you ride in Northern direction, after about 10 kilometers you are in Peschiera on Lake Garda. For a small fee, the agriturismo has a number of bikes available for rent for their guests. The city of Verona, with its famous Arena where in summer operas like Aida and Nabucco are performed, is 30 kilometers from the agriturismo. You can walk to the nearby village. About 15 minutes by foot but the last part to the agriturismo is over a not illuminated dirt road. In the village you will find a bakery, bars, gelateria, several pizzeria-restaurants and a supermarket.

Pool

The swimming pool, open from May 1 to September 30, is beautifully situated in the olive grove. There is also a shallow area for the little ones and at the pool are sunbeds and umbrellas. There is also a large lawn where children can run and play football. There is a common BBQ area and on the large shared terrace with umbrellas, each apartment has its own table and chairs.

Apartments

There are a total of 8 apartments on the ground floor and the first floor, with one or two bedrooms. Each apartment has a kitchen equipped with a 4-burner stove, dishwasher and microwave. The apartments have air conditioning, satellite TV, wifi and a hair dryer. On the shared terrace with views on the garden and the swimming pool, each apartment has its own set of table and chairs.
