Child-friendly and cozy Farmhouse - Agriturismo in Tuscany
I was enjoying the hospitality of this agriturismo on a warm sunny day in March (unfortunately for one day only). I was warmly greeted with the most delicious homemade tiramisu I have ever tasted. Despite my intentions to not quite eat it all, the cup was empty in no time. Far too good!
You will immediately feel at home at this agriturismo, because there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It has a lovely pool area with separate children's pool, a playground, a large field to play in and two pizza ovens, where, once a week in high season, they bake pizzas with the children. There is also a restaurant with a large terrace. Given sufficient interest, three times a week, dinner is served outside on long tables. In summer, occasionally a few pigs and ponies come to visit the agriturismo to entertain the children.
The apartments
The owners of the agriturismo like to scour antique markets looking for trinkets and furniture that they themselves can refurbish. And that is reflected in the furnishing of the apartments. An appealing, personal mix of various styles that completely matches the mood of this agriturismo.
The property has 9 apartments which all have a private terrace and are equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning (not included in the rent) and a dishwasher and microwave in the kitchen. Some apartments have a kitchenette in a cabinet. There is a washing machine for communal use, and free WIFI in the restaurant. A cake baked by the owner awaits your arrival in your room!
In short
This is a child-friendly, cosy agriturismo just 15 km from the beautiful city of Arezzo, 90 km from Florence and near the Foreste Casentinesi nature park. So, sufficient opportunities for excursions. But actually the location of the agriturismo is so alluring that it is no punishment to spend a day "at home" on the property.
