Agriturismo quietly located between vineyards near Lake Garda
This is not what one would expect to find, in this lively part of Lake Garda, but this agriturismo is situated in lovely tranquil countryside, in the midst of vineyards. Charming towns such as Desenzano, Peschiera and Sirmione, with their bustling lakeside promenades, are not far away (5 kms to Sirmione). You will receive a warm welcome from the daughter of the family, which also owns agriturismo 73 and many of the surrounding vineyards.
The old country house, a farm from 1800, has been renovated into comfortable holiday accommodation. On the outside, the house is still original, and on the inside, there are 11 apartments. There is a large garden behind the agriturismo, with a lovely lawn and large pool. It furthermore houses a yoga centre where courses are offered. And last but not least, it has a wellness centre with sauna, Turkish bath and Vichy showers. If you want to treat yourself to Ayurveda, Shiatsu, Osteopathy or Pilates, that’s possible too.
The family’s restaurant is located at agriturismo 73 (2 kms down the road), where her mother is the hostess. Naturally, their own wines are served in the restaurant, including the increasingly popular Lugana white wine. At walking distance from the agriturismo you can find a well-attended Osteria (restaurant), owned by Sirmione’s mayor. It is lovely dining here under a pergola in summer. My favourite restaurant in this part of Lake Garda.
The apartments
The 11 tastefully decorated and comfortable apartments are not that big, but all have satellite TV, wifi, locker, air conditioning, hair dryer and dishwasher. They are particularly suited for 2 guests, but there are some apartments for 3 or 4 people too. Most of the apartments are on the ground floor, and the family apartments are divided over 2 stories. The ground floor apartments have their own outdoor seating area or private piece of garden.
In short
I can highly recommend this agriturismo to anyone who wants to relax in a quiet place, but also visit the nice towns around Lake Garda. You can enjoy delicious meals in the proprietor’s restaurant (nearby, in agriturismo 73), refresh and experience complete relaxation in the in-house wellness and yoga centres.
