Agriturismo in the heart of the Tuscan wine region

I often find the most beautiful agriturismos are where the best Italian wines come from. Just like this small agriturismo with 5 apartments in the heart of the Super-Tuscan wine region and not far from the sea. The owner grew up among the vineyards and started to make wine at an early age. For wine lovers, he likes to do a wine tasting in the cosy tasting room or organize tours through famous wineries nearby.

The agriturismo is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and just 5 minutes drive from a typical Tuscan village spread over a nearby hill. But it’s not only the wine that attracts people to this region, the sea is only 4 kilometres away. Within 10 minutes’ drive there are several sandy beaches and cosy beach bars. Attractive beach resorts are located about half an hour’s drive away.

The owner knows the area well and can recommend sights, beaches and restaurants. After our tour around his agriturismo he asked me where I was going to have lunch and if I wanted “meat or fish”? I chose fish and fifteen minutes later I was in a pleasant beach restaurant with a lovely sea view, enjoying "spaghetti alle vongole" and a glass of local wine!

Apartments

There are 5 two-room apartments, all with one bedroom. Three apartments are located on the ground floor and have a terrace right outside the door. The two apartments on the first floor have a private area down in the garden with table and chairs. The owner lives in the farmhouse too. The apartments are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and dishwasher. In the garden of the agriturismo is a nice swimming pool with sun beds and parasols. There is also a shared washing machine and dryer.
