Agriturismo in beautiful villa, in the hills between Florence and Lucca

I got a tip from Stefano, the owner of agriturismo 87 on my site, that his friends were about to open a new agriturismo, too. According to him, everything was nicely renovated and very stylishly decorated and the agriturismo would be a worthy addition on my site. Because I was curious, I called immediately to make an appointment to see the agriturismo. And indeed, Stefano had not exaggerated!

The agriturismo is beautifully situated in the hills between Florence and Lucca, near Pistoia. I was welcomed by the owners, even though they were busy with the last chores before the opening. The agriturismo is set in a very well restored villa from the early 1800s. All the apartments and rooms are furnished in a classic romantic style. Very soft bedding and luxury towels, nice cushions on the bed and seating and beautiful curtains. Everything handmade in Tuscany. In combination with the old elements of the villa, including decorated and painted ceilings and original parquet floors, this gives a warm authentic atmosphere.

Apartments & Rooms

The agriturismo has 8 comfortable apartments and 2 rooms. Most apartments are located on the first or second floor of the villa. Some apartments have a balcony or terrace with table and chairs. The kitchens come with a fridge, oven and dishwasher. Furthermore, the apartments and rooms are equipped with TV, air conditioning, hairdryer and WIFI.

Pool & park

The agriturismo has a panoramic swimming-pool with sunbeds, chairs and umbrellas. The swimming-pool is 16x5 metres and offers the opportunity to swim against the current. The villa has a breakfast room and a shared lounge and reading room. The agriturismo is situated in a park of 10 hectares with olive trees, which offers wonderful views of the hills around Pistoia.

Restaurant 

The agriturismo has a restaurant on one of the terraces surrounding the villa.  The terrace has glass walls and a sliding roof, so you can dine both inside and outside. In winter, the terrace is covered with the heating on, in good weather the sliding roof will be open so you can enjoy the lovely weather.The restaurant offers gourmet cuisine for a high-level culinary experience. Ideal for those who want to discover and taste new flavors.
The restaurant is open to guests of the agriturismo as well as locals.
The restaurant's wine cellar has more than 200 types of wine, both Italian and international, and the best champagnes.

In short

A beautiful agriturismo in a restored villa with very comfortable and stylishly furnished apartments and rooms, between Lucca and Florence. Not suitable for small children, because of the many stairs, glass doors and original features.
